Dr. Kasapoğlu’s practice focuses particularly on oral surgery, surgical implantology, bone grafting, sinus lift procedures, complex implant cases and oral rehabilitations that require precise planning.
In some cases, placing an implant is not simply a matter of replacing a missing tooth. Bone volume, the position of the maxillary sinus, the primary stability of the implant, occlusal balance and the future prosthetic restoration must all be evaluated together.

UNIVERSITY AND INTERNATIONAL TRAINING BACKGROUND
Dr. Metin Berk Kasapoğlu graduated from the French high school Notre Dame de Sion and also studied at Lycée La Bruyère in France. He then continued his studies at the Faculty of Dentistry of Yeditepe University.
During his training, he participated in an elective dental program at King’s College London with a merit scholarship. He also gained clinical experience in dental surgery with different patient groups at Université Paris Descartes in France.
After completing his dental degree, he was accepted into the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Istanbul University, where he continued his doctoral studies. He obtained his doctorate in oral and maxillofacial surgery with a thesis focusing on bone healing in grafted bone defects.
His international academic and surgical experience also includes Belgium, Germany and Japan.
In Belgium, he participated in zygomatic implant surgeries at the Children’s Hospital of Brussels, within the Department of Oral, Facial and Maxillofacial Surgery.
In Germany, he completed a fellowship program at Klinikum Osnabrück, affiliated with the University of Münster, and participated in surgical activities at the Department of Oral, Facial and Maxillofacial Surgery of Hannover Medical School.
In 2020, he was awarded the Japanese Monbukagakusho scholarship, also known as the MEXT scholarship, granted by the Japanese Ministry of Education, and joined the University of Tokyo to work in the field of 3D orthognathic surgery planning and virtual surgery.
TEACHING AND ACADEMIC ACTIVITY
Since 2016, Dr. Kasapoğlu has provided basic and advanced training to doctors in the field of dental implant surgery, both in Turkey and abroad.
He currently works as a lecturer in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Istanbul University.
He is a member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, IAOMS, and the International Team for Implantology, ITI.
This academic and educational dimension is also reflected in the way he supports patients: explaining, clarifying, preventing misunderstandings and helping each patient make an informed decision.
