Metin Berk Kasapoğlu, who graduated from Notre Dame de Sion French High School in after studying at Lycée La Bruyère / France, continued his education at Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry.

During his clinical internship, he was entitled to participate in King’s College London – Dental Elective Program with a success scholarship. He also worked with different patient groups in the field of dental surgery at Paris Descartes University / France.

Immediately after his dental degree, he was accepted to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Istanbul University to perform his PhD / Doctoral studies. He received the title of Maxillofacial Surgery Doctor with his project-supported doctoral thesis subject titled “Experimental investigation of the effects of gelatin thrombin matrix adhesives on bone healing in grafted bone defects”.

In 2016, in Belgium – Children’s Hospital of Brussels – Oral, Face and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, he participated in zygomatic implant surgeries as a visiting doctor with Prof. Dr Chantal Malavez. 

He completed the fellowship program under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Siegfried Jänicke in 2019, in the Department of Oral, Facial and Maxillofacial Surgery at the research institute Klinikum Osnabrück affiliated with the University of Münster in Germany.

By winning Japan’s most prestigious scholarship, which was given to only 10 people each year by the Japanese Ministry of Education (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) in 2020, he was transferred to Tokyo University, Department of Maxillofacial Surgery.
